CloudChaserz is your one-stop vape shop: Molly finds your ideal mod, Teague recommends the sickest e-juices, and Trace...well, they’re just always around, adding to the dope vibes. But when the nation’s Juul-crazed teens start coming down with mysterious lung diseases, the trio worries that Big Tobacco and the Feds will kill their small town’s sole vapor oasis turned makeshift queer haven.

meet the Cast and Creatives

Sid Branca (They/Them/Theirs - Trace) is a media and performance jack-of-all-trades and proud company member with First Floor Theater, delighted to make a return to stage acting. Video design credits include Hooded; Or Being Black for Dummies, Refrigerator, Daddy’s Girl (First Floor Theater); Floor Show, The Grelley Duvall Show II and III (with Alex Grelle). Previous acting credits include work with Curious Theatre, Mary-Arrchie, the Plagiarists, The Inconvenience, and Prop Thtr. Gracie Meier (She/Her/They/Them - Molly) is an arts administrator, theatre hustler, and photographer. Credits include Plano, Hooded or Being Black for Dummies (First Floor Theater); Plantation! (Lookingglass); Lord of the Flies, The Children’s Hour, Much Ado About Nothing (DePaul); Christina, the Girl King (Cor Theatre); MASS (Northwestern). Gracie is also the Development Director at FFT, Artistic Coordinator at Lookingglass, and a producer with 2nd Story. She is a graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University. graciemeier.com

Natalie Seabolt (She/Her/Hers - Teague) is thrilled to be back at First Floor Theater where she recently understudied I'm Gonna Pray for You So Hard. She is proud to make Vape Naysh her Chicago debut. She'd like to thank her friends and family, they know why. @seabolt

Brynne Frauenhoffer (She/Her/Hers - Playwright) is a longtime First Floor fangirl who is so excited to write for these amazing folks. Recently, her play Bury Me (Dandelion Theatre) premiered in July 2019. Past workshops and readings include The Young Ones (First Floor Theater), Synchronicity (Salt Lake Acting Company; also chosen as a 2018 semi-finalist for the O’Neill Center’s National Playwrights Conference), Age Play (The New Colony), Pizza Hut Heartbreaker (Commission Theatre Company), and Shitty Christians (Or, Turn to Romans 3:23) at Prop Thtr. Next up, catch the world premiere of Pro-Am (Sideshow Theatre) in May!

Cole von Glahn (He/Him/His - Director) is a Chicago-based director and producer. He has been with First Floor since moving to Chicago in 2015. In that time, he has produced over a dozen company shows and events, as well as directing FFT's 18-19 season closer I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard. He is currently looking forward to launching the original narrative fantasy podcast Leylines. Additionally, Cole has served as the Artistic Producer at Raven Theatre since 2018. Outside of theatre, Cole is a board game designer and collaborative storyteller. He holds degrees in Drama and Sociology from Tufts University.

Anastar Alvarez (They/Them/Theirs - Stage Manager) is so, so happy to be working with the lovely folx at First Floor Theater again! Kate Lass (She/Her/Hers - Intimacy Designer) is happy to be back at First Floor Theater, where her work was last seen in Killed a Man (Joking). Other choreography credits include Hope: Part II of a Mexican Trilogy, Romeo and Juliet, American Jornalero (Teatro Vista); Masque Macabre (Strawdog Theatre Company); Macbeth, (Unrehearsed Shakespeare Company); Proof (Berry College). Hanna Kime (She/Her/Hers - Dramaturg) is a playwright and dramaturg whose full length work has been developed with Jackalope Theatre, Sideshow Theatre, the New Colony, and First Floor Theater, where she currently serves as Literary Manager. Recent pays include The Best Damn Thing, The Targeted (2020 O’Neill NPC Semifinalist), Drop (2019 Going Dutch Festival), and Two Quick Shots. She was the first place recipient of the 2018 David Blair McLaughlin Prize in Nonfiction Writing. She is a member of the Wampus Cat Collective.
